Seeded shadow bench
The seeded shadow bench is part of the "Shadow Objects" collection and exhibition, that tooks place summer 2025 in the Estonian Museum of Applied Arts and Design. High shine seeded surface sparkling in low light. In this collection, the shadows are a medium we chose to play with, twisting predictable paths and nature and giving the objects an extra dimension and character.
Technical information:
The bench is out of walnut wood that has been ebonized and treated with natural boat laquer. Inserted in the wood are thousands Golden Raintree (Koelreuteria paniculata) seeds.
