Shadow blaket

The shadow blanket is part of the "Shadow Objects" collection and exhibition, that tooks place summer 2025 in the Estonian Museum of Applied Arts and Design. A shade creature caught accidentally in the light, casting its own shadow on the back wall. In this collection, the shadows are a medium we chose to play with, twisting predictable paths and nature and giving the objects an extra dimension and character. 

Technical information:

The piece is made out of hand felted appliqué from Georgian wool, stiched onto Soviet woollen broadcloth. Shadow is made out of glued pine wood boards, left over from the closed Valga furniture factory,
