Shadow crocodile
The shadow crocodile is part of the "Shadow Objects" collection and exhibition, that tooks place summer 2025 in the Estonian Museum of Applied Arts and Design. Cheekily smiling with its own shadow just like the Cheshire cat in "Alice in Wonderland". In this collection, the shadows are a medium we chose to play with, twisting predictable paths and nature and giving the objects an extra dimension and character.
Technical information:
The stool is made out of walnut wood, ebonized and finished with boiled linseed oil, with details painted in with oilpaint. The shadow is carved out of linden wood, finished with ink and boiled linseed oil.
